EPIPHANY

Publié : Jan-04-2023

On St John Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests, once reflected on how very happy the magi would have been if, when they returned to their own country, they could have taken with them the King they had found and worshipped.

The saint then remarked further on our own much greater good fortune. In the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, we kneel down and worship Christ, as the magi worshipped Him at Bethlehem.   But unlike them, we have a greater privilege.

In Holy Communion, we not only worship the Lord; we actually receive Him into ourselves, into our souls. Unlike them, we can take His sacred presence back with us to our own homes, our work, our daily lives.

There, in the midst of the world, we do our best to make Him public, better known and better loved.

Together with Fr Anish, Deacon George and the staff,

I wish you and your loved ones

a Blessed Christmastide.
