The world sometimes accepts the death of Jesus but denies the resurrection as being outside history. For this very reason we Catholics, on this Easter Sunday, profess our faith.
Because God raised Jesus from the dead – a fact we know from reliable witnesses, guided by the Holy Spirit, and from our own experience of the Lord’s activity in our life – His death has meaning.
In our Baptism into Christ’s Church, we share His death and look forward in hope to our own resurrection and to the life of the world to come.
We are an Easter People, and our song is Alleluia! (St Augustine).
Together with all the parish clergy and staff, I wish you
and your loved ones every Easter blessing. ~ FR. PAUL DOBSON
