Youth Group

Our mission as a Youth Ministry is to "love and walk with youth as they learn to BELONG, GROW & FEARLESSLY SHARE the love of Christ with the world". We do this in one of a few ways...

Our parish youth ministry offers two programs - Edge for those in grades 6-8, and LifeTeen for those in grades 9-12 - that follow the flow of the school year from fall to early summer!

 All about Edge & LifeTeen...

EDGE is a Catholic middle school ministry program made for students in grades 6-8, and LIFETEEN is a Catholic high school ministry program designed for students in grades 9-12. They provide a safe, fun place for youth to find a solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. EDGE & LIFETEEN target the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of our youth, all while fostering good and faithful friendship in a community that keeps our gospel values at the forefront.

At St. Joseph, EDGE is run every second and fourth Friday of the month from 5:30-7:30pm, and LIFETEEN is run every second and fourth Saturday of the month, beginning with Mass at 4:30pm, and followed by programming from 5:30-8pm.

Additionally, we provide a one week summer camp experience for those in grades 1-6, hosted at the parish. This not only provides our younger families with activities for their children here at the parish, but also provides opportunities for our older youth and adult parishioners (14+) to be involved with youth ministry and intentionally journey with our younger brothers and sisters towards a fun, joy-filled, and fruitful summer experience.

Lastly, we also provide unique opportunities for the youth to participate in such as EDGE Camp West, Highschool Leadership opportunities, Steubenville Conferences and many other great OCY (Office of Catholic Youth) events happening throughout the ministry year!

There is no registration fee to join youth ministry, however, if you would like to make a donation and/or support our program and its mission, please contact Megan Domingues, the Youth Minister at ym.stjosephmi@gmail.com to find out how.

We believe that the youth are vital to the life and mission of the Church and hope to build disciples, servant-leaders, and future Saints here at St. Joseph Parish! We'd love to have you join us!
